My goal is to make difficult data analysis simple to understand. I enjoy spending time both on extracting and analyzing information from complicated data sets, and then making meaningful visualizations that help clients understand trends, challenges, and opportunities. I was trained as a theoretical physicist, and I spent ten years doing research on biological physics. I work at SIRIS since October 2019, and I now found my place here as a data scientist and consultant, working on all sorts of data analysis, on presenting their results, and providing clients with strategic guidance and support with their decision-making

I’m an astronomer by training, with a background in academic research and in technical consulting. In SIRIS I work on consultancy projects for higher education, research and public institutions, combining evidence-based and qualitative approaches.

Nicolau Duran Silva

I’m completing a degree in Computer Science at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. I’m specialized in Natural Language Processing, Pattern Recognition and their applications in data analysis. In SIRIS I explore new approaches to semantic information retrieval and data analysis, by combining techniques of machine learning, deep learning and linguistic analysis. My interests in this field are the implementation of NLP in minority languages, sentiment analysis and opinion identification in informal texts..

Yoran Beldengrün
At SIRIS I aim at contributing with fresh thoughts, insights, assistance and solutions to complex problems or advancement of strategic goals in higher education, research and innovation. This is based on the combination of my academic background in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a PhD in Nanomedicine and international working experience in Science Diplomacy for government institutions, a UN specialised agency and an NGO. Moreover, I have been engaged in increasing the social and political impact of science, as a grassroots activist and as a science populariser.

Nathalie Meo Evoli

I am a molecular biologist with a PhD in Biomedicine. I spent several years doing research within the field of cancer. I enjoy working to coordinate teamwork, to harmonise the tasks of different people and to straighten out issues.

I joined SIRIS to contribute with my past experience to add value and vision to the projects for higher education and research.

Currently, I am supporting the “la Caixa” Foundation designing the novel PhD Training Programme and coordinating its implementation.

I have an extended experience of the French and Italian sectors.I have in-depth knowledge of French regulations regarding public procurement. I am an expert of quality processes, and I am in charge of managing the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System at SIRIS Academic. I hold a PhD in philosophy from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Francesca Arcara
Grants and Tenders Manager

With 15+ years of experience in  research grants,  projects management and the setting up of institutional programs in research at European and national level, I arrived at SIRIS after working in several HE&R institutions in Italy, France and Spain and at the European Commission in DG RTD.

I have broad experience of funding programs for research and gained international experience in the European research policies, and the functioning of the national research systems of France and Spain. I have been involved in the management of  large European research projects and I am author of 2 winning proposals for MSC CO-FUND Postdoctoral fellows programs, one of which I also coordinated.

Petra Frent-Kaab

I worked as an economist for 10 years and gained insights into public policy and a great number of industries and sectors, at a global level. The higher education and research landscape is by far one of the most interesting albeit challenging : the academic environment is constantly changing and, at Siris, I am happy to be part of a motivated team that is on a purposeful mission to help higher education & research institutions address a wide range of strategic issues. I did my undergraduate studies in Japan and graduate studies in France and Spain. I hope to bank on all these experiences in my mission at Siris.

Eloi Bigas

I am an Industrial Engineer with a double master degree on Energy Management and Sustainability, recently graduated from an MBA at Collège des Ingénieurs (Paris). My ultimate goal is to help drive policies that will tackle the current energy and climate crisis, naturally taking a science-based approach but also considering all the socio-humanitarian aspects of this transition. Throughout my career I have been strongly involved in educational endeavours, for example by teaching children in schools about Climate Change and its implications through the association Sustainability by Education.

I have a degree in theoretical physics from the University of Barcelona and a master’s degree in physics of complex systems from the University of Balearic Islands. My interests are in the application of numerical methodologies and frameworks to social challenges that modern societies are facing.

machine and deep learning methodologies for scientific portfolios text mining.
